Is it possible to suffer from Eagle withdrawal??? I believe that it is. I am a creature of habit. I am used to seeing the Bald Eagles of Centerport every day. Every morning when I wake
up, I can look out my window and see Mom and Dad eagle in their nest or flying around the Mill Pond. For those people who watch nest cams and the wildlife photographers out there. You may be able to understand.
Since the eaglets have fledged, Mom and Dad have not spent much time around the nest or the pond. I wake up every morning at 5:30 am and lug my camera out to my car, hoping for a glimpse of them.
Morning after morning. Day after day, I go home disappointed....
I know they will return soon and start fixing up their nest. They will carry large sticks through the air, they will fish and they will mate. They will thrive through another long winter.
They have become a part of my daily life. My routine... They represent beauty and grace in a world that can sometimes be chaotic. They bring me peace. And I will be happy when they return...
