too many to count

Having a full time job, family, home, and a farm does not allow me a lot of extra time. The time that I do carve out is dedicated to wildlife photography. Particularly to the Bald Eagles of Centerport. So when someone asks why I have so many eagle photos???

Being outside, breathing fresh air, and feeling grateful for the beautiful world around me. They may not be the best photos, but they capture "a moment" of peace.

Much of the time is spent waiting for something to happen. Staring at an eagle in a tree for hours and trying not to look away for fear that it will finally take off and do something spectacular.

And then, the moment you are waiting for! The eagle heads straight towards you. Are you paying attention? Are your camera settings correct? Are your hands steady? You have waited hours and in the space of two minutes the eagle has flown off and disappeared. That's ok, because your camera takes 30 frames per second. So you end up with 3,600 photos that you now have to look through, edit, and organize.... And you wouldn't have it any other way.
