Laura Nelson

My name is Laura Nelson I’m from Northport but reside in Commack. I’ve been a licensed veterinary technician for 9.5 years. I have loved nature and animals of all kinds since I was a child. I grew up with cats, dogs, and horses! I’ve always had a love for photography- I was going to major in it right out of high school, but chose a different path instead. I started to frequent Centerport in April of 2022 to see the eagles. I immediately became infatuated and upgraded my camera gear! Being able to photograph the Bald Eagles of Centerport is such a great escape from day to day responsibilities, it gives me such a sense of freedom and happiness. I’m nothing but honored to be apart of such a great team of wildlife photographers!
